My name is Andrew G. Berger. I wrote THE SUPERFLARE, a dystopian sci-fi novel.
Logline: In the year 2051, a disastrous solar storm hits the Earth. It causes a global EMP which destroys almost all digital devices and power supply. The world descends into barbarism and chaos. An artificial superintelligence, which withstood the EMP in a shielded bunker, takes over. Julia (17) and Winston (18) have to fight tooth and nail to stay alive.
Would it be conceivable for an artificial intelligence to escape human control? Could solar storms become a threat to our high-tech society? Could they throw us back into the digital stone age? Questions like these were incorporated into the story told in THE SUPERFLARE.
On this page you will find some information about my book and myself, a selection of reviews, and background information on artificial intelligence and solar storms.

Andrew G. Berger does a great job in telling a good scifi story, I was hooked from the first page and glad I got to read this. The characters worked well in this universe and were unique. I can’t wait to read more from the author and hopefully this universe.
